Well hello! I'm a fourth-year grad student in the UC Davis Animal Behavior PhD program. I study migration in native fishes, using acoustic telemetry. My main data challenges are figuring out how to write flexible functions for filtering messy data frames that include a lot of date and time information, and then finding ways to visualize spatial data without relying on maps (tricky). Talk to me about dplyr, ggplot2, dynamic documents, and best practices for visual communication. I also dabble in Bayesian approaches to multilevel modeling.
